I help women with neurodiverse husband and kids prioritize self-care to thrive
Hey lovely, is your husband neurodiverse, or are you a mom of a child with autism? Likely it is both. Are the daily demands of family life leaving you with little time for self-care? Do you feel your emotional needs are forgotten? Is your identity fading away under the weight of everyday responsibilities?
Friend, I am glad you are here. This podcast will help you prioritize your self-care with simple planning solutions that empower you to rebuild your life and set healthy boundaries while still fulfilling your roles as a wife and mom.
Hey, I’m Christina—married 18 years to a neurodiverse man and mom of three neurodiverse kids.
For years, I tried to fix our home environment, hoping to ease the sensory and communication challenges in my neurodiverse family. But no matter how much I read or how many Christian experts I listened to, nothing bridged the gap between meeting everyone else’s needs and caring for myself.
I was exhausted carrying so many responsibilities while my needs were unmet. My husband was frustrated with his limitations and didn’t know what to do. My neurodiverse kids needed my help to navigate a world they didn’t always understand, but their meltdowns and challenges were overwhelming and exhausting at times. My health began to decline as I focused on making our marriage and home life optimal for my spouse and kids to prevent the cycle of problems. I reached a breaking point when I realized that prioritizing my well-being wasn’t selfish—it was essential. That’s when I turned to simple planning solutions to create space for self-care.
This podcast is here to guide you on a journey of self-care and healthy boundaries without sacrificing your roles as a wife or mom. By embracing a holistic approach rooted in biblical values, I rediscovered the vibrant woman God created me to be. Now, I want to help you reclaim your identity, heal your heart, and reconnect with the life you love.
If you’re ready to begin your self-care journey, grab your sanity latte and listen in as we take another small, intentional step toward a peaceful, healthier you.

Marriage is two people living in community, learning to love each other and live together in harmony. When neurodiversity is a component, the challenges can lead to seeing only the negative, what your spouse is lacking. Continued focus on solely the negative while ignoring your husband's efforts and slow growth can lead to a dangerous cycle. When your heart is hurting and numb, how do you pivot to begin perceiving his strengths? Here are my suggestions for first steps on this process.

There are many sensory challenges we help our kids traverse when they are younger, haircuts is a major one. Usually the hair salon or barber shop is loud, lots of new people, scratchy hair falling down the back of their shirt, uncomfortable cutting cape around their neck and having a stranger position their head. This can add up to a major meltdown from the sensory overwhelm. Not only does your kid need a break after a haircut, but likely you as well. You will benefit from my mistakes and learned experiences with these three steps for less stress at the hair salon.
