I help women with neurodiverse husband and kids prioritize self-care to thrive
Hey lovely, is your husband neurodiverse, or are you a mom of a child with autism? Are the daily demands of family life leaving you with little time for self-care? Do you feel your emotional needs are forgotten? Is your identity fading away under the weight of everyday responsibilities?
Friend, I am glad you are here. This podcast will help you prioritize your self-care with simple planning solutions that empower you to rebuild your life and set healthy boundaries while still fulfilling your roles as a wife and mom.
Hey, I’m Christina—married 16 years to a neurodiverse man, mom of three neurodiverse kids, emergency manager, and business owner.
For years, I tried to fix our home environment, hoping to ease the sensory and communication challenges in my neurodiverse family. But no matter how much I read or how many Christian experts I listened to, nothing bridged the gap between meeting everyone else’s needs and caring for myself.
I was exhausted carrying so many responsibilities while my needs were unmet. My husband was frustrated with his limitations and didn’t know what to do. My neurodiverse kids needed my help to navigate a world they didn’t always understand, but their meltdowns and challenges were overwhelming and exhausting at times. My health began to decline as I focused on making our marriage and home life optimal for my spouse and kids to prevent the cycle of problems. I reached a breaking point when I realized that prioritizing my well-being wasn’t selfish—it was essential. That’s when I turned to simple planning solutions to create space for self-care.
This podcast is here to guide you on a journey of self-care and healthy boundaries without sacrificing your roles as a wife or mom. By embracing a holistic approach rooted in biblical values, I rediscovered the vibrant woman God created me to be. Now, I want to help you reclaim your identity, heal your heart, and reconnect with the life you love.
If you’re ready to begin your self-care journey, grab your sanity latte and listen in as we take another small, intentional step toward a peaceful, healthier you.

Big emotions and big responses seems to be a common situation in neurodiverse families. These intense emotional reactions can become challenging when small problems trigger disproportionately big responses. These two tips have helped our whole family process these moments better.

Changes in routines can be tough on our neurodiverse kids, and honestly, they can be tough on us as moms. I know how hard it is to squeeze in time for self-care during these transitions, but I’ve found using the tips can make heading back to school a little less stressful—both for our children and for ourselves.
Remember meltdowns often communicate feelings of sensory overload or overwhelm. When we find ways to reduce that sensory load, it can sometimes help ease the frequency or intensity of meltdowns.
Resources Mentioned:
Ark Chewies
Munchables
Loop Ear Plugs
Weighted blankets: I always recommend doing some research to choose the right weight for your child—consider whether it’ll be used for sleep or just as a lap blanket. Also, it’s a good idea to check with your child’s doctor if they have any health conditions (like asthma) that might make weighted blankets unsafe.
I hope these tips and resources make the transition back to school a little smoother for you and your family.
